As an avid researcher with a passion for creating beautiful products for both skin and scent, Laurie approaches formulation with curiosity, care and an almost endless desire to understand the ingredients she works with.

 

PURE TALLOW began in 2023 with handcrafted tallow skincare, inspired by a return to simple, time-honored ingredients and thoughtful formulation. As Laurie’s interest in botanicals grew, so did the collection—eventually expanding into artisan perfumery.

Today, Laurie personally develops PURE TALLOW’s skincare and original fragrances, researching ingredients, testing formulations and refining each creation in small batches. Her perfumes are composed from individual aromatic materials rather than pre-made fragrance oils, with a strong emphasis on botanical ingredients such as precious absolutes, essential oils, woods, resins and natural extracts, supported when needed by select modern perfumery materials for structure, diffusion and longevity.

For Laurie, the process is equal parts research and creativity: understanding what an ingredient can do, then discovering what it can become. The result is a collection created slowly and intentionally—for skin, for scent, and for the simple pleasure of using something beautifully made.
